Why You Shouldn’t Take Real Estate Advice From Just Anyone
Just because someone sold a house doesn’t make them an expert, and bad advice can cost you thousands.
Is your real estate advice coming from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about? Let’s be real for a second. Your friend’s cousin’s brother’s dog, who adopted a friend last year and sold a few pieces of real estate, isn’t a real estate expert. I know everyone seems to have an opinion about Arizona real estate, but unless someone is actively working in your market every single day, their advice could seriously cost you a lot of money.
The problem with secondhand advice. The truth is that markets move quickly. One day you’re scrolling past online headlines, the next you’re hearing opinions at a cocktail party from someone who once sold a house. It might sound convincing, but without real data, experience, and negotiation skills, they shouldn't be guiding your biggest investment.. In fact, they might cost you thousands of dollars without even realizing it.
"Real results come from real expertise."
What makes someone an expert? Here’s the reality: just because someone sold a few homes doesn’t make them a real estate expert. You need a full-time local pro who knows how to position your property for today’s market. That’s not your best friend’s son’s dog cousin who sold one house and now thinks they know it all.
The market changes quickly. You can’t rely on last week’s headlines or something someone casually says at a social event. Unless they’re actively working in the market, staying on top of trends, and guiding real clients through real situations, their advice isn’t something you should stake your financial future on.
